The very first sunrise of new year
view from Nebukawa station JR
Kanagawa, Japan
In Japan it is celebrated as the first crack of dawn once a year and lots of people visit to see the “hatsu hinode”- the first sunrise of year. Many people pray their wish or decision of the year. We need to be very patient and careful for waiting “hatsu hinode” in dark and cold. However, the moment of the Sunlight sparkles in sight of nothing visible is impressive and sacred.
